3. Sustainable Health and Wellness is screening '9,000 Needles' Wednesday night. For more about the free event, check out this Patch calendar item.  

4. Simsbury Public Library will show 'Despicable Me' free at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1. Popcorn and Movie are free of charge. 

5. Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation‐Emek Shalom (FVJC) will host a New & Prospective Member Ice Cream Social at Stratton Brook Park at 6 p.m. on Aug. 2. See details here
