Gigantic Lotto Win For Simsbury Resident

SIMSBURY, CT — A resident's trip to a gas station resulted in a life-changing Lotto payout that, at least, ensures the affordability of groceries and gas for a while.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the Simsbury resident won $1 million playing the Powerball lottery game on Thursday, Oct. 23.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Pride gas station, located at 518 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury.

Powerball is the massive, multi-state drawing game where winners could walk away very, very rich.

The current Powerball grand prize is $344 million, but the jackpot has accumulated as high as over $1 billion.

While this Simsbury player didn't win the maximum payout, the person walked away extremely happy with the final result.

Powerball costs $2 to play, with additional multipliers allowed for an extra $1.
