Letter to the Editor: Folk for State Representative

Send Simsbury Patch letters to the editor to jeff.brush@patch.com

As a 35 year resident of Simsbury and an owner of a small business, I am pleased to see that we will have Charity Folk running for the 16th District State Representative.  We need a person who believes in a balanced budget and limiting expenditures beyond what we can afford.

In voting for Charity, Simsbury has a great opportunity to bring real business sense to the State Legislature rather than the same old ideas from another career politician.  Charity has always advocated for Simsbury's interests in her 25 years at our Chamber of Commerce and now we can elect her to a State leadership role.

She understands the issues facing the citizens of the town and she will focus her efforts on working with us to address them.  Charity understands that government is the problem and not the solution.  Someone who will promote a small business owner friendly climate by advocating for less regulation and lower taxes is what Simsbury and our state legislature needs and Charity Folk is who I will be voting for on November 6 for the 16th District State Representative.
