Letter to the Editor: Folk for State Representative

Send your Simsbury Patch letter to the editor to jeff.brush@patch.com.

This November Simsbury  voters will have an opportunity to elect a new State Representative for the 16th District.  An effective legislator must be able to serve his or her constituents by working cooperatively within the General Assembly to achieve results for Simsbury.

Charity Folk’s 25 years of balancing the diverse needs and interests of the members of Simsbury’s Chamber of Commerce has demonstrated she has these skills and is ready to put them to work for us.  Further our State Representative must have the people skills and knowledge of State and local government to provide effective constituent service to the people of Simsbury.

Charity’s work with the Chamber have kept her at the cutting edge of policy and legislative developments while applying that knowledge to assist small business owners traverse the challenges of complying with legal and regulatory hurdles.

Simsbury needs a State representative who understands that our state government spends too much and taxes too much.  Connecticut needs more State Representatives who understand that our  government needs fiscal discipline to bring our state back to being a competitive home for business growth.  I encourage you to vote for Charity Folk for Simsbury State Representative, she will work to bring fiscal discipline to our state government.
