Update: One Driver Dead in Simsbury Crash

Update: A driver died in the crash, according to NBC Connecticut. Weather doesn’t appear to be a factor in the crash. The driver hasn’t been identified.

Route 167 between Latimer Lane and Canton Road has been closed after a two-vehicle accident sometime before 4:15 p.m. Monday, the state Department of Transportation has reported.

The route is expected to be closed for ”six hours or less,” the department said, but no further information was provided.

Correction: In earlier versions of this article, Latimer Lane was called “Lattemer Lane,” following the spelling used in the Department of Transportation announcement. The link to a Google Maps page has also been fixed.
