Simsbury's National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists Named
The trio of high school seniors is still in the running for prestigious scholarships at the end of the school year.
SIMSBURY, CT — Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation Sept. 12 announced the names of more than 16,000 semifinalists in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Among the names are three from Simsbury, who are still eligible for the prestigious scholarships.
They are Audrey Fetters at Simsbury High School; Mei Knight at Simsbury High School; and Wills Erda at the Westminster School.

The high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered next spring.
To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the finalist level of the competition.
