New Tech Chief Hired For Simsbury Schools
The new school administrator started work in Simsbury this week.

SIMSBURY,CT — A relatively quiet summer for Simsbury's school board was interrupted only for a special meeting last month to appoint a new chief technology expert.
At a special meeting July 24, the Simsbury Board of Education unanimously voted to appoint David Prinstein to be the school systems new director of instructional technology.
Prinstein started his new job on Monday, Aug. 14.

The vote came after an executive session with Simsbury Superintendent of Schools Matt Curtis to go over Prinstein's candidacy and interview Prinstein.
After the interview, the school board exited the closed session and voted to appoint the new tech administrator.

The entire special meeting lasted less than an hour.
Simsbury schools' technology department features 13 employees who oversee all the computers and other high-tech teaching tools utilized in a modern school system.
