Now in its second decade, Horizons at The Ethel Walker School is a tuition-free, six-week summer program that offers a space for girls from the Hartford community to learn and grow.

This award-winning academic and enrichment program, designed to prevent summer
learning loss serves students in pre-K through eighth grade.

The Showcase Day will begin with a ceremony at 9 a.m. in The Ethel Walker School’s
Centennial Center, honoring longtime sponsor LEGO.

Horizons at The Ethel Walker School board members will host classroom tours, give guests a snapshot of the student experience by highlighting academic classes, interactive STEAM and LEGO projects, and arts enrichment sessions centered around dance and African drumming.

Daily swimming instruction will also be featured — a signature element of Horizons programs across the country and essential to developing children’s confidence in and out of the water.

The day will conclude with lunch in The Ethel Walker School’s dining hall.

Here, guests can connect with students, teachers, and dedicated supporters of the Horizons mission.

Guests are encouraged to ask questions, participate in activities, and learn alongside the incredible students who inspire peers and adults every day.
