Anyone with tickets to see Thoroughly Modern Millie will want to know this announcement from the Home page of Simsbury Public Schools: “Due to the blizzard and loss of rehearsal time, Thoroughly Modern Millie will open on Saturday, Jan. 31. There is NO snow performance on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Friday ticket holders will receive an email with instructions.”

Simsbury Library is closing at 5 p.m. on Monday, according to the Home page of its website. They don’t seem to certain that they’re going to open on Tuesday, either: “Due to the storm, the Library is closing at 5 pm today, January 26th. (For information about Tuesday, please call Town Hall at 860-658-3200).”

Simsbury Public Schools are closing early on Monday.

- Tuesday: Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 22. North wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 9 to 13 inches possible.
- Tuesday Night: Snow likely, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 13. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
