Simsbury To Celebrate New Park Playscape This Week
The public is invited to a special ribbon-cutting celebration at a prominent Simsbury park, with refreshments included.
SIMSBURY, CT — The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony later this week to celebrate a new feature at a local park that will surely please all the young ones.
The Simsbury Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department on Thursday, Nov. 13, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony that day for its new "Heroes Playground" at Weatogue Park, 267 Hopmeadow St., Weatogue (Simsbury).
"Heroes" will also be the theme of the event's activities, with a police car, fire truck, and ambulance there for children to explore.

They will even be joined by Simsbury Police Department K-9 officer "Clifton."
In addition, there will be hot cocoa and cookies available.

The "Heroes Playground" is a new playscape that is also a facsimile of a fire truck, with the apparatus decked out in red, etc.
