Simsbury Group Urges Folks Attend Info Session On Green Energy Tax Breaks

SIMSBURY, CT — A local sustainable energy organization is urging folks to attend a virtual meeting Tuesday, Aug. 26, regarding tax credits associated with renewable energy projects, such as home solar projects.

The Simsburgy Green Coalition is asking local residents to log in and learn about recently federal government cuts to programs aiding those seeking sustainable energy solutions.

Federal legislation signed into law last month will eliminate federal tax credits for renewable energy projects, beginning as soon as Dec. 31.

The Powersmart Campaign has invited Mike Trahan, executive director of the Connecticut Solar and Storage Association, to present on this subject on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6:30 p.m.
