SIMSBURY, CT— A prominent survey of high schools in the U.S. has named Simsbury High School among the best in Connecticut.

SHS, located on 34 Farms Village Road in Simsbury, was the 17th-best public high school in the state, according to Niche.com.

Niche.com's 2026 Best Public High Schools in America ranking evaluates more than 93,000 public high schools nationwide.

Niche said its rankings, now in the 11th year, differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance.

According to Niche, its rankings also include input from students, alumni, and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources, and facilities.
