The Simsbury Historical Society was recently named a 'Blue Star Museum' by a federal agency.

SIMSBURY, CT — The local historical museum recently earned a very important designation from a federal agency, one that positively impacts men and women serving their country and their families.
The Simsbury Historical Society, which operates a significant history museum on 800 Hopmeadow St., announced Saturday it is an official "Blue Star Museum."
This designation, made by the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families (done in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense), grants military veterans and their families free museum admission through Labor Day weekend this year.
