Well-Known Canton Chain Restaurant Closes

CANTON, CT — A well-known chain restaurant that opened during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has now shuttered.

The 110 Grill restaurant, located in the Shops at Farmington Valley in Canton, is no longer listed as a location on the 110 Grill website.

According to Elizabeth Ackerman, general manager of the Shops at Farmington Valley, the last day of the 100 Grill in Canton was Sunday, Dec. 28.

She told Patch Monday morning that while "there is a lot of interest" in the space, no announcements are planned regarding what could replace the 110 Grill at the popular shopping destination.

Back in 2020, the Westford, Mass.-based chain opened the first Connecticut 110 Grill in the prominent shopping destination off Route 44.

Of course, the culinary industry was severely impacted by the pandemic's restrictions, causing significant effects on eateries nationwide.

No official cause of the closure has been released by the 110 Grill, though the chain's other restaurants — Southington and Manchester — are still listed on the company website.

Southington's restaurant opened in 2021, while the Manchester site opened in 2024.

The 110 Grill is known for casual, upscale American cuisine and is known as being especially accommodating to those with dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free food.

Currently, the 110 Grill has 38 locations in the northeast, mostly in Massachusetts, with other restaurants in Connecticut, New Hampshire, upstate New York, and Rhode Island.
