Simsbury Road Reopens After Wires Come Down: Police: UPDATE

The incident came on a day when high winds are affecting the entire state.

SIMSBURY, CT — Monday's windstorm appears to have brought down utility wires in Simsbury during the afternoon, with one local roadway closed, according to police, but it is now reopened.

The Simsbury Police Department said Wolcott Road between Wescott and Wolcott Woods was closed to traffic due to down wires starting at about 2:25 p.m.

At 3:45 p.m., the SPD said the road had been reopened.
