Simsbury Slammed By Saturday Storms

The line of thunderstorms on Saturday resulted in several closed roads.

SIMSBURY, CT — Simsbury appears to have recovered after being slammed Saturday by a line of damaging thunderstorms.

The line of weather tore into the area late Saturday afternoon, with roads still closed due to fallen trees and downed utility wires on Sunday.

According to Simsbury police, the most heavily impacted roads were Pasture Lane, Hop Brook Road, Brook Drive, Willard Road, Westledge Road, Lenora Drive, and Holcomb Road.

By late Saturday night, roads started reopening, and by Sunday, May 4, most of the closed roadways were reopened after cleanup.

In addition, power has been restored throughout Simsbury.
