Simsbury Street Reopens After Fallen Tree Prompts Closure: UPDATE
The incident happened amid Thursday morning's wind and rain.

SIMSBURY, CT — A local roadway was closed Thursday morning after a tree fell amid the wind and rain, police said, but it reopened later in the afternoon.
The Simsbury Police Department issued an alert at 7:15 a.m. stating Old Meadow Plain Road was closed between Lawton Road and Pine Glen due to a downed tree.
At 1:45 p.m., the Simsbury PD issued an alert indicating the roadway was open to traffic again.
