Unlock Keys To Remembering At Simsbury Event
The free program takes place Friday, July 18, at the Simsbury Senior Center, and it is also open to residents of other towns.
SIMSBURY, CT — People over 50 from throughout the area are invited to Simsbury this week to learn a thing or two about improving their memory.
Memory expert Dr. Wendy Hurwitz will be at the Simsbury Senior Center, 54 Hopmeadow St., Simsbury, on Friday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to noon for "Memory Tips."
"Did you know that a recent study from Stanford University suggests that the techniques used by memory athletes can be taught, learned, and create changes in the brain that enhance memory skill?" wrote Hurwitz in an event announcement.

Attendees to the free event can learn the secrets that folks with photographic memories apply to showcase their unique talents.
"Memory athletes are Olympic-level memorizers who compete to see who can memorize large amounts of information," wrote Hurwitz.

A graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, Hurwitz is a nationally recognized expert on stress.
A former medical researcher for ABC News, she is an expert in two fields: mind/body medicine and energy medicine.
