10 Laptops Donated to Pomperaug High School in Southbury
The laptops will be loaned to students who do not have access to a computer at home.

Todd Ingersoll, president of Ingersoll Automotive, presented 10 laptops on to Pomperaug High School on Tuesday.
The laptops will be loaned to students who do not have access to a computer at home through the PHS Guidance Department.
“This marks the 200th computer that Ingersoll Automotive has donated to area schools,” Mr. Ingersoll said in a press release. “If it breaks, we’ll fix it. Access at home to a computer can change a student’s life.”

PHS Junior Jared Gustenhoven, who works part-time at Ingersoll Automotive suggested that some PHS students would benefit from the contribution. The donations started three years ago when Ingersoll Automotive donated laptops to the post-prom party at Bethel High School where a student who won the laptop had a full scholarship to West Point and already had a computer. The student then gifted the new laptop to a fellow student who did not have one at home.
“Our students are engaged in many activities that require access to online educational information for research as well as tools to create professional presentations and collaborate with classmates. The students will immediately benefit from this generous donation,” Glenn Lungarini, Pomperaug High School Principal said in the press release.
