Driver Injured, Road Briefly Closed In Southbury Crash
A single-car wreck left one person injured and led to the shutdown of a Southbury road Tuesday night.
SOUTHBURY, CT — A single-car wreck left one person injured and led to the shutdown of a Southbury road Tuesday night, according to a fire department Facebook post. Southbury Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment at 7:19 p.m. on River Road.
When firefighters arrived, they found the driver was able to free themselves. The road was shut down briefly and power lines were repaired.
The injured driver was taken to a nearby hospital.
