Equestrian Buys Red Horse Stables in Southbury

The sale of the property brought in tax money for the town.

An accomplished equestrian has purchased the former Red Horse Stables for $900,000, the Republican-American reports.

The sale brought the town $11,250 in conveyance tax.

John Williams, who competes in dressage has been in the business for 30 years and operates a company called Show Horses, Inc.

Bobby DeLibro, owner of DeLibro Realty in Bridgeport who listed the property, told the paper Williams plans to run a quality horse boarding and training operation at the facility.

According to the paper, the property has had four owners since it opened in December 1984.
