Heritage Hotel in Southbury Has a New Owner
The hotel recently changed hands to its fourth owner.

The Heritage Hotel and nine-hole Pomperaug Golf Course have been sold to a new owner for $7 million, the Republican-American reports.
Former owner, Masoret Holdings paid $11.5 million for the property in 2006 from Dolce International. In turn, Dolce International paid $17.5 million for the property in 1997, the paper reports.
Heritage Resort is the fourth owner of the property at 522 Heritage Road.

According to the paper, the property was built by Triangulum Associates in 1971, a partnership of Paparazzo family members, who developed the Heritage Village in the mid-1960s.
The property has 163 hotel rooms, 25 meeting rooms, a fitness center and day spa, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a pub and a steakhouse.

Masoret Holdings had been looking for a buyer for about two years, the paper reports. The sale netted the town $17,500 in conveyance tax while the state received $87,500.
