Spring and summer are traditionally the most popular months to buy and sell real estate, and that trend is holding very true in Southbury this year.
“Sales have been excellent the past couple months,” said Colleen Burne, realtor at Coldwell Banker in Southbury. “They are much better this year, even since January, then they have been in years past.”
Homes are changing hands in specific price ranges and locations across Southbury.
“It all depends on price,” said Burne. “Homes in the $300,000’s and $400,000’s and in Heritage Village are doing well, while homes in the $500,000’s are a little slower.”
Many people think about buying and selling homes in the warmer months, but Burne said if you plan to sell in the summer your home should be on the market by February or March.
