ID Released Of Driver Killed After Being Ejected From Car On I-84 In Southbury: UPDATE
The car ended up down an embankment and into a wooded area, state police said.

In an update on Friday afternoon, state police said Brian Lloyd, 60, of Philadelphia, PA was the person who was killed in Wednesday's I-84 crash in Southbury.
Original story: SOUTHBURY, CT — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-84 eastbound, east of Exit 15 in Southbury at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, state police said.
A driver of a 2014 Volvo registered in the state of Pennsylvania was traveling in the left lane, veered into the median, and collided with the guardrail, state police said.

The car then veered right, across both lanes and collided with an overhead illumination pole and through the metal beam guardrail in the right shoulder, down an embankment and into a wooded area, state police said.
The driver was ejected from the car and sustained fatal injuries. State Police are investigating and ask if anyone has any information to call Trooper Nicholas Quinn at 203-267-2200.
