July 4th Fireworks 2023 Around Southbury

SOUTHBURY, CT — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around New Milford for 2023.

Derby-Shelton Fireworks

When: Saturday, July 1 at 9 p.m.

Waterbury Food Truck and Firework Extravaganza

Where: Brass Mill Center

When: Sunday, July 2 from 2 to 10 p.m.

New Milford Fireworks Celebration

What: The town's annual fireworks celebration will also include an opening ceremony and music.

Where: New Milford Town Green

When: Saturday, July 1; opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

New Britain "Great American Boom"

What: About 40,000 people come to the annual event which in addition to fireworks includes food trucks, a DJ, entertainment, and more.

When: Tuesday, July 4

Ridgefield Family Firework Celebration

What: The town will hold its annual celebration with a number of vendors on hand providing food and treats.

Where: Ridgefield High School

When: Sunday, July 2; rain date July 9; gates open at 6 p.m.

What: Spend the holiday at the park and enjoy 3-D Fireworks after dark with special viewing glasses sold for $2.
