New Owners Have Extensive Renovation Plans for Heritage Resort in Southbury
The company that recently bought the property plans to begin renovations immediately.

The new owner of the Heritage Resort and Conference Center in Southbury has plans for a multi-million dollar renovation of the property, the Republican-American reports.
Alfred Weissman Real Estate of New York purchased the hotel and nine-hole Pomperaug Golf Course under the name Heritage Resort LLC for $7 million.
According to the paper, renovation plans for the hotel include updates to the guest rooms, the restaurant and pub, the conference center wing and the health club.

Renovations are expected to begin immediately and will be done in phases so guests are not impacted, the paper reports. The work is expected to be completed by April.
Founder and principal of the real estate group, Alfred Weissman, told the paper the company is happy to have a presence in Southbury. The new owners plan to continue the hotel’s practice of supporting the community including police, first responders, school groups and other local organizations.
