Pomperaug River Hits Low-Flow Mark

Private well owners and Heritage Village Water Company customers are being asked to be mindful about water use.

SOUTHBURY, CT — River flows in the Pomperaug River has dropped below 32.7 cubic feet per second, which triggered the low-flow operation plan.

Private well owners and customers of the Heritage Village Water Company are being asked to be extra careful in how they use water.

The next level would be when the river discharge falls below 15 cfs, which leads to a call for conservation. The final level would be when the river falls below 7 cfs and at that point water conservation is strongly requested.
