Louis Anthony Principe, 82, passed away on Feb. 1, 2025; a former Art Director for Westchester County with a 41-year career in advertising, he enjoyed painting, woodworking, building model boats, and creating board games and automated figures.
James Duplese, 95, passed away on Feb. 15, 2024; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a longtime educator in the Derby School System, serving as a teacher, principal, and Assistant Superintendent before earning a law degree and practicing for 24 years, while also participating in dramatics, music, and sports, including baseball, basketball, and drum corps as a longtime member and Drum Major of the Connecticut Hurricanes.

Artemis Tatamanis Romell, 96, passed away on Feb. 14, 2025; an accomplished musician, educator, and artist, she was a piano and voice instructor at the Springfield Conservatory of Music, a substitute music teacher for 40 years, an alto soloist and charter member of the Springfield Symphony Chorus, a performer with the Commonwealth Opera Company, a church music director and choir leader, a dedicated member of multiple art associations, and an award-winning painter who exhibited widely and contributed her work to numerous charitable causes.
Alice E. Holmes, 95, passed away on Feb. 2, 2025; a biologist by training, she was a Girl Scout leader, substitute biology teacher, energy educator, and a dedicated realtor for over 30 years, holding advanced certifications, serving as president of the Newtown Board of Realtors, mentoring new agents, and earning recognition as Newtown Realtor of the Year, while also contributing to her church community through leadership and committee service.

David Joseph “DJ” Ciola, 29, landscaper, motorcycle enthusiast, animal lover, and outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hiking, and road trips with his fiancée Breanna, died Mar. 13, 2025.
Robert E. Arnold Jr., 54, a dedicated worker and avid fisherman who enjoyed racing street bikes, shooting, fireworks, and pulling legendary pranks with friends, died unexpectedly Mar. 9, 2025.
