Southbury Alert System Instrumental in Locating Missing Teens
The Southbury man who located the teens said he would not have been able to do so if the town had not sent out an alert.

The man who located the two missing Southbury teens reported missing last week credits the town’s alert system for successfully identifying the two Pomperaug High School students, the Republican-American reports.
The town sent out a Code Red telephone alert Thursday morning and the teens’ photos were posted online.
March Shay, a long time Southbury resident and the father of four teenage children himself saw the boy and girl walking along Bucks Hill Road while he was driving, the paper reports. Shay told the paper he would have driven right past the teens if the alert system had not been in place.
