Southbury Celebration Canceled Due To Weather: Officials

SOUTHBURY, CT — The 2025 Southbury Celebration, scheduled to be held Sunday, has been canceled due to weather.
In an update shared on social media, Town of Southbury officials said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution. The event was slated to feature live music, kids' activities, food trucks and a fireworks show over Lake Stibbs.
"The deciding factors were the anticipated rain totals through Sunday mid-day and not having enough time for the event field and parking areas to properly dry off in time," officials said. "Unfortunately, the anticipated weather will not allow us to hold the event in a safe manner for the vendors and the patrons."
