Southbury Ice Rink is Open for Business

From the Office of the First Selectman Ed Edelson:

“The Southbury Ice Rink is now open. The cold weather has frozen enough ice to allow us to open the ice skating rink. As you can see in the photos, there are cones set up to keep people from going on the east side where the leaking water related to a rip in the liner has not allowed this section to freeze. There are still risks associated with skating and we encourage all skaters to use caution, especially when the weather begins to warm. Happy skating. I encourage everyone to obey the restrictions on the sign so that everyone can obey the signs.”
