Southbury Implements Parking Ban Due To Pending Snowstorm

As much as a foot or more of snow is expected on Saturday.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury is implementing a parking ban beginning Friday in anticipation of the heavy winter storm expected on Saturday, officials announced.

The ban will remain in effect through Sunday, to allow for the plowing of roads.

TRANSFER STATION: Southbury Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, January 29, 2022 and will be open at its normal hours on Tuesday, February 1.

MAILBOX POLICY: The Southbury Public Works Department recommends the closest part of your mailbox be at least 6-8” back from the road. That should allow space for the plows to pass freely.
