Wrong-Way Driver Detection System To Be Installed On I-84 In Southbury

CTDOT has announced the installation of a wrong-way driver detection system on Interstate 84 westbound at Exit 15 in Southbury.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has announced the installation of a wrong-way driver detection system on Interstate 84 westbound at Exit 15 in Southbury. The project is scheduled to take place overnight on Thursday, March 13.

The installation will be carried out by state crews.

Lane Closures and Detour Information

I-84 westbound at Exit 15 will be closed from 7 p.m. on March 13 until 5 a.m. the following morning. During this time, traffic will be detoured via Exit 14 westbound, where motorists will turn left onto Georges Hill Road before merging back onto I-84 eastbound via Exit 15.
