Beloved Southington Snack Available During Off-Festival Hours
The signature snack food of the Southington Apple Harvest Festival will be available next week even when the festival isn't going on.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The signature snack food of the beloved Southington Apple Harvest Festival is now available on days when the festival isn't going on.
Organizers of the massive fall celebration, which takes place Oct. 3-5 and Oct. 10-12, have announced that the wildly popular apple fritters will be for sale at the town green festival site, 75 Main St., during off-hours.
"It’s almost time," wrote organizers of the festival. "Can you smell the apple fritters already?"

In addition to the festival's weekend hours, the apple fritter stand will be open:
• Monday Oct. 6 to Thursday, Oct. 9, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Friday Oct. 10 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Similar to how the Eastern States Exhibition in Springfield, Mass., (aka 'The Big E') identifies with cream puffs, the Southington Apple Harvest Festival is known for its apple fritters.
"Come grab your favorites early (and often )," wrote organizers. "See you at the Apple Harvest Festival."
