Beloved Southington Summer Camp Announces Hall Of Fame Class
Tickets are on sale for next week's 2025 Camp Sloper Hall of Fame dinner next week.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — With about a week to go before a popular local summer camp's largest fundraiser, the Southington Community YMCA has announced who will be honored that night.
The "Y" operates Camp Sloper, a well-known summer camp at 100 East St., Southington.
The Camp Sloper Hall of Fame was established to recognize past camp staff and volunteers "who have helped to make Sloper the magical place it is today," wrote the Southington "Y."

This year, the camp recently announced its Camp Sloper Hall of Fame Class of 2025:
• Ashley Angiletta: Waterfront director in the early-mid 2000s.

• Mike Falcetti: Volunteer and donor for more than 15 years.
• Brandon Lanza: Counselor and unit director in the late 1990s.
• Laura Lanza: Camper, CIT, counselor, and unit director in the 2000s.
Next week, the YMCA is hosting its annual YMCA Camp Sloper Hall of Fame dinner to raise money for college scholarships for young Sloper staff members.
Tickets are on sale now for the 2025 Camp Sloper Hall of Fame induction ceremony slated for Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. at "Smokin' with Chris," a barbecue restaurant at 59 West Center St. , Southington.
“All four of the 2025 recipients have made a huge impact on camp, and we are excited to honor them as part of the Sloper Hall of Fame,” said Justin Hubeny, outdoor center director at YMCA Camp Sloper.
General admission tickets are $25 and include a meal; all proceeds benefit the Sloper Staff College Scholarship Fund. Orange tickets are $100 and include a meal for the night, the donor’s name displayed, and an additional $75 donated toward the college fund for camp staff.
