Big Week Upcoming For Southington Community YMCA

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Southington Community YMCA chapter is kicking off a big fundraising week on Monday, March 31.

That's when the Y's annual "Support Campaign Week" starts, with the chapter making a donation push and conducting an awareness campaign of what the YMCA has to offer.

"Stop by the lobby and follow our socials as we share information about a few of the many programs we offer thanks to generous donations made by you," wrote the "Y" to the community. "Help us build the foundation of your YMCA and strengthen our community together."

The Southington YMCA, which is located at 30 High St., offers many programs for families in town.

The "Y" also operates Camp Sloper at 1000 East St., which is home to the YMCA's beloved summer camp.

The annual appeal aims to get people to consider the YMCA for various programs and to collect donations that, in total, help make "Y" offerings affordable for as many as possible.

"Your generous donation helps fund programs that promote youth development, health, and wellness, as well as provides financial assistance, offering scholarships, resources, and opportunities for all in need," wrote the Southington "Y."
