'Boutique Hotel' Proposed For Southington's Plantsville: Report

A developer wants to build a three-story, 54-room hotel in Plantsville. It would be the neighborhood's first, the Hartford Courant reported.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A developer has proposed building a three-story, 54-room boutique hotel in the Southington neighborhood of Plantsville, the Hartford Courant reported.

The hotel would be located in a vacant lot on West Street, right off of I-84's exit 30, the newspaper said.

It would be the first hotel in Plantsville, and one person who lives on the street said she hopes the town will seriously consider "the negative implications this project will have" on the village, as reported by the Courant.
