Christmas Celebration Planned In Plantsville

SOUTHINGTON, CT — If you're looking for something to do tonight in Southington, there's a little (make that a big) holiday celebration to enjoy with your family.

The Southington Recreation Department, along with the Plantsville Community Events Committee, is hosting "Christmas in the Village" tonight in the Plantsville section of town.

The celebration will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the center of Plantsville, which is Route 10/Main Street/West Main Street.

This "fun and free family event" will have a lot to offer holiday revelers.

On the list of things to do include: visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus; horse-drawn hayrides; Christmas crafts; and food, among other activities.

Even better, the weather is expected to be Christmas-like, at least as far as the temperature is concerned and there is no precipitation in the forecast.
