Crash Cleared On I-84 In Southington: UPDATE

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Traffic was backed up on Interstate 84 in Southington Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident, according to the state Department of Transportation, but the crash has since been cleared.

The DOT reports the crash was on I-84 East between exits 30 and 31, resulting in the right and center lanes being closed.

The wreck was first reported at 1:14 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.

It is not known if weather played a role in the accident, with the state being hit with snow and sleet Thursday.
