Tractor Trailer Crash Finally Cleared In Southington: UPDATE

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Cleanup from an early morning tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 84 in Southington caused traffic issues Tuesday morning, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it was finally cleared by the afternoon.

According to the DOT, a tractor-trailer crashed on I-84 East between exits 28 and 30, initially closing the right shoulder, but in the afternoon hours, the right and center lanes of the highway were closed.

The accident was initially reported at 2:28 a.m., and it wasn't cleared until mid-afternoon.
