Enjoy A Taco And Help CT's Pets At Southington Benefit

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A statewide charitable organization dedicated to helping Connecticut's pets will host a very unique fund-raiser in Southington at the end of the month.

The Connecticut Veterinary Medical Foundation is hosting what is called a "Cinco De Meow" benefit on Thursday, April 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Witch Doctor Brewery, 168 Center St., Southington.

Tickets are $50 and entitle a participant to a beer/glass of wine, two tacos and a dessert, though there is a 20 percent discount for those who purchase two or more tickets.

Proceeds benefit the CVMF's programs that aim to improve the health and well being of pets.

"The Connecticut Veterinary Medical Foundation is the charitable and service arm of the veterinary community of Connecticut, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA)," reads the CVMF's website.

"CVMF supports education, scholarship and service programs that improve animal health and public health in Connecticut. Leadership by CVMA veterinarians facilitates an evidence-based, scientific approach to animal health and welfare issues, and is what makes CVMF unique."
