Fallen Trooper To Go On Southington HS 'Wall of Honor'
The trooper, killed in the line of duty May 30, is one of five SHS graduates set to receive the prestigious designation Thursday, Sept. 19.

SOUTHINGTON, CT — The state trooper from Southington tragically killed in the line of duty is one of five Southington High School graduates going on SHS's "Wall of Honor" Thursday night.
Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, 34, died May 30 after a motorist struck him while he was conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 84 in Southington, where he was born, raised, and resided.
He lost his life conducting a seat belt enforcement check, part of an ongoing safety initiative. The driver of the pickup truck that hit him fled the scene and was, later, caught.

Pelletier left behind a wife, Dominique Pelletier, and two young sons, Troy and Zach, along with several friends and family members.
He is one of five people chosen by the Southington High School Wall of Honor Committee for the class of 2024.

In addition to Pelletier, Valerie DePaolo; Kenneth DiMauro; Marc Palmieri; and Norman Vancor will be immortalized in the prestigious section of SHS.
The Wall of Honor display showcases Southington High graduates who have outstanding community service, accomplished noteworthy career or lifetime achievements, participated in humanitarian work, or received significant awards.
Southington Public Schools will host a brief ceremony honoring the 2024 Wall of Honor recipients on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m.
This ceremony in the SHS auditorium, 720 Pleasant St., is open to the public.
