Huge Halloween Celebration Slated In Plantsville Sunday

SOUTHINGTON, CT — One of the town's most anticipated and biggest Halloween traditions will take place this Sunday, Oct. 20, in the Plantsville section of Southington.

The annual "Halloween in the Village" celebration will take place in downtown Plantsville from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

A fun and free family event, "Halloween in the Village" is sponsored by the Plantsville Community Events Committee and the Southington Recreation Department.

Costumed families and children are welcome to visit participating merchants for a little trick-or-treating that evening.

Rounding out the event are a plethora of other activities, including pumpkin painting; carnival games; a drum circle; a bubble bus; as well as food trucks, among other features.

Should the weather not cooperate, the rain date will be the same time on Sunday, Oct. 27.
