Newington-based Paramount Construction started a full road reconstruction in the busy section of town last week.
SOUTHINGTON, CT — There are still a couple of weeks of work to be done regarding a large road reconstruction project on South Main Street in Southington.
According to the Town of Southington, Newington-based Paramount Construction started saw-cutting and full-depth road reconstruction on South Main Street last week.
Officials said "business open" and access signs will still be posted, but they warned of "temporary inconveniences" for motorists in that area, along with business guests.

This work will occur for approximately two more weeks from Monday, April 21, and it will utilize a detour plan.
The project is anticipated to come to substantial completion within the next six weeks.

The town said removal, restoration, and repaving will occur each day from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
