Crash On I-84 In Southington Cleared: UPDATE

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A serious, three-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Southington late Friday morning caused traffic backups for motorists, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the accident was on I-84 East between exits 30 and 31, resulting in the closure of the left and center lanes.

It caused a 2.2-mile traffic backup between exits 28 and 31, the DOT said.

The accident was first reported at 9:57 a.m., and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
