SOUTHINGTON, CT — The winners have been picked, and Southington officially has a "top dog" for 2025.

And, in fact, it also has a solid "#2" and a well-deserving "#3" as well.

The Town of Southington recently announced the winners of the annual June contest, which is designed to urge dog owners to renew their dog licenses and/or get their dogs licensed.

As part of the contest, all dogs licensed by June 30 are entered into a drawing at Southington's town hall, with the top three dogs picked earning the "#1," "#2," and "#3" tags.

The official drawing took place earlier this month, with the town revealing the winners on social media on July 11.

The winners are as follows: No. 1 Denver Dymarczyk; No. 2 Annie Bunnell; and No. 3 Lexi McBride.

In addition to bragging ... er .... barking rights, the three top dogs received a bucket of dog treats/toys as a prize.

The trio of cute pooches was posted on the Town of Southington's Facebook page for all to see.
