Obituary: Joan Frances Faust, 93, Of Southington

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Joan Frances (Henry) Faust, 93, of Southington, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the HOCC at New Britain General. She was the wife of the late Joseph Faust.

She was born March 13, 1929 in Bronx, New York, and was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Caulfield) Henry.

Joan graduated from Tunxis Community College and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was an artist and worked for Norcross Greeting Cards and Connecticut Community Care. She was a member of CT Watercolor Society, Gallery 53 in Meriden and the Calendar House of Southington. She was a playwright and wrote plays and musicals as a young adult for The Church of The Atonement of the Bronx. She was a breast cancer survivor.

Joan is survived by her children, Joseph R. Faust Jr. and wife Helen of Terryville, Donna E. Faust of Southington and Lori E. Faust-Newman and husband Ronald of Plantsville; she was known as Nana to her six grandchildren, Robert, Amanda, Eric, Samantha, Andrew and Christopher. She was predeceased by brothers, Alvah and William Henry and sisters, Anna Hallmark, Mabel Chadwick and Hazel Henry.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 6. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
