Kenneth P. “Ken” Benson, 78, of Southington, beloved husband of 53 years to Susan Golambiski Benson, passed away on July 25, 2025 at UConn John Dempsey Hospital. Loving brother of Mary Ellen LaFerriere, Patricia Reilly and the late Elizabeth Osborne and Edward Schlask. Brother-in-law of Bill Golambiski. Ken was born in Waterbury on June 21, 1947 son of the late Harry and Margaret Miller Benson. Prior to his retirement, Ken was employed by Aetna Insurance Company. Ken served his country faithfully in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post 72 and the Veterans Coffee Hour in Southington and Plainville. The Benson family would like to thank the staff at UConn John Dempsey Hospital for the special care shown to Ken during his illness.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven SATURDAY morning at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
