The Orchard Valley Garden Club in Southington welcomed Brian Paganini from Quantum Organics who spoke to the club about "Food Waste to Energy." This Southington-based company processes green waste for leaves, brush, stumps, and other non-treated wood and also recycles food waste for grocery stores and restaurants. There is a financial incentive to separate food waste for business. Brian also discussed the potential for residential food waste collection in the future.
