PARC plans bottle drive on Oct. 4 for camp scholarships
Fundraiser benefits PARC, Inc. summer camp while honoring former staff member. 9am-12pm, 28 E. Maple St., Plainville

PLAINVILLE – PARC, Inc. is planning its second can and bottle drive on Saturday, Oct. 4 to support scholarships for its annual Camp Trumbull held each summer. The Cindy Sunshine Campership Fund Can & Bottle Drive will be held 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the PARC building, 28 E. Maple St. Please make sure the donations are clean and dry, and are dropped off that morning.
The fundraiser is named in memory of Cindy Muller, a beloved staff member of PARC, Plainville Family Resource Network, and Plainville Community Schools. The fund has been established at PARC to ensure that children with developmental disabilities will be able to attend summer Camp Trumbull regardless of ability to pay.
Since 1957, PARC, Inc., has advocated and protected the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by actively supporting full inclusion in the community. PARC nurtures confidence and self-esteem by fostering talents and social skills through a wide variety of programs including Camp Trumbull, Adult Life Skills, Healthy Living Activities, and more. PARC serves more than 50 people ages 10 to 80 from Plainville and nearby towns.
